National Certifications //
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Requirements: 1-year phlebotomy duties or phlebotomy training documentation (no more than 6 months old, if the applicant does NOT possess field/clinical experience).
Fees: $149 initial examination. $75 annual renewal. *Renewal requires either 10 approved CEUs or verifiable field experience within the last year.
Certified EKG Monitor Technician (CEMT)
Requirements: 1-year EKG monitoring experience or medical training documentation with a minimum 50% cardiac monitoring coursework.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Requirements: 1-year performing the duties of a Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant training/education documentation. Pass written examination.

Medication Aide Certification (Med Tech)
Requirements: Applicant must possess a State Board Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Home Health Aide Certificate and 1-year experience in geriatric care. Pass written examination.
Fees: $99 initial examination. $50 annual renewal. *Renewal requires either 5 approved CEUs or verifiable field experience within the last year.
Board Certifications //
Natural Health Practitioner (NHP)
Requirements: Advanced degree in Natural Health, Wellness, Naturopathy or related concentration from an accredited institution. 6 months of documented clinical experience. Pass written examination.

Doctor of Integrative Medicine (DIM)
Requirements: Applicant must have graduated from an accredited 4-year naturopathic college OR have graduated from an Accreditation Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) college OR have graduated from an accredited Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) College OR possess an MD/DO. Pass written examination.
Fees: $349 initial examination. $149 annual renewal. *Renewal requires either 30 approved CEUs or verifiable field experience within the last year.
Prior Training Verifications
All training/education documentation must be submitted electronically. If the applicant is using work experience as a qualifier; please submit the company name, supervisor and dates of employment as requested in the application.
State/Local Requirements
HAA provides national certifications. However, your home state may require additional state certifications to practice in your field. Check with your state to ensure you meet all requirements. HAA cannot guarantee acceptance by interested parties. Once the applicant passes the HAA national examination, the credentialed initials can be used in professional titles.
